After the success of Siri and Google now, its time for Cortana. Virtual assistants are smart softwares that can communicate with us just like human. We can ask friendly questions, make queries about weather forecast, get traffic reports, plan daily schedules using our voice as input.
To compete with other platforms Microsoft is using Tellme assistant along with Bing to answer user’s queries. But now due to increasing use of speech as an input method, Microsoft is releasing its fully featured Cortana virtual entity in the month of April this year. It may come with Windows phone 8.1 “blue” update or can be added as an update to existing operating system.
Cortana looks like a circled graphic that mimics human emotions. It looks like a face that can act according to various situations. For ex- if it’s feeling sad, It will express it through gestures. Voice used to create this assistant is of Halo’s Jen Taylor (Game made for PC). Let us wait till April to use it.
