Are you fed up of your “last seen” stamp on your Whatsapp? because if you are then this might be very interesting for you as Whatsapp for Android has just received a new update to version 2.11.169 which will let you help keep your stalkers at bay since it now enables you to hide your “last seen” stamp, a feature which was earlier being enjoyed by ios users only. On the other hand, it seems Windows Phone users might have to wait a little, but we are expecting it to be out for windows phone also in just few days.

The newer version lets you hide your Last Seen time, Profile Picture and Status. There are different levels of privacy as well. You can either set each option to be visible to everyone (everyone who have added you have you as contact), your contacts, or no one.

The update is not available through the Google play store but you can download it from whatsApp official website. You just have to go to website and download Apk file and make sure that you make your phone authorized to install apps from sources other than play store i.e enable unknown sources option in the settings menu and install whatsApp apk. After installing the update, new features can be found in Settings->Account->Privacy.
